Makeup brushes, makeup bags and train cases, and beauty tools, such as  eyelash curlers and tweezers, are always safe gifts. There are no colors involved, and every makeup lover needs and uses these things. This is a huge category and the shopping links below don’t even scratch the surface. For an all around great guide, the Carmindy book can’t be beat. While for lots of neat insider tips, Beauty Confidential, by Nadine Jolie is a fun and useful read.I also have a particular fondness for The Little Black Book of Style by Nina Garcia of Marie Claire Magazine and Project Runway. Finally, for just plain usefulness, Paula Begoun’s Don’t Go to the Cosmetic’s Counter Without Me is a pretty good guide.
