Halloween Makeup Ideas

in Halloween

This Halloween save a little bit of money by creatively using your own Halloween makeup to complete your look. All you need is some eye shadow, lipstick, mascara, and other extras such as make up glitter. Below are some neat ideas for Halloween that can be created using some basic stuff from your or your mom’s cosmetic bag. Before putting any type of Halloween makeup on your skin, remember to clean and moisturize first for easy and smooth application.

Teen Vampire Halloween Makeup

Fairy
Dust off your fairy wings in time for Halloween. Start your fairy transformation with an application of light foundation all over your face and neck area. Choose a glittery eye shadow in a pastel color, like light pink, lilac, or blue, and apply on the lids and underneath the eyes, extending slightly to the temples and completely covering the area up to the brow. Apply several coatings of colored mascara to your lashes. Apply several layers of pink blush to emphasize the apple of your cheeks. Apply frosted lip gloss. Top with a little bit of makeup glitter on the lids, cheeks, and lip area. You may also apply one or two tiny silver crescent moon, stars, and sun stickers on the side of your face, close to the cheek area.

Classic Feline Look
Halloween is not complete without black cats. Bring out your inner feline in several minutes. Apply moderately light foundation and use a black eyeliner to draw a small cat nose on the tips of your own. Next, draw 3 pairs of tiny whiskers that slightly extends from the side of the nose. Emphasize your eyes with a combination of black and smoky silver eyeliner and a thick coating of mascara on the lashes. Use dark pink makeup to draw a cute circle on your cheeks for an exaggerated blush. Finish the look with a thin coating of light pink lipstick and a pair of black fluffy cat ears. Green contacts will add points to your look.

Teenage Vampire
No need to bring out the Elvira or Count Dracula costume from your closet, go as a modern day vampire instead. All you need is a set of false vampire teeth, a little bit of make-up and you are good to go. Start creating your look with a thick application of very light foundation or translucent powder on your face and neck area. Use the lightest tone possible to achieve that colorless pallid look. Trim your brows and make sure that there is no stray hair in sight. Brush and shape the brows with black mascara and remove any excess clumps of color. For women, apply a rich smoky silver and dark plum eye shadow to your upper lids for a vampy effect. Use black eyeliner and several coatings of mascara on the lashes to emphasize the shape of the eyes. Use a brush to dab some dark plum eye shadow under the lids. Complete the look by lining your lips with black liner and then applying a rich coat of red lipstick.
